How does virtual training actually work?
We connect through Zoom for live 1-on-1 sessions. Your trainer guides you through each exercise in real-time, correcting your form and adjusting the workout as we go. It’s exactly like having a trainer in your living room, minus the commute.
We’re not tech-savvy. Will this be complicated?
Not at all. If you can make a video call to family, you can do virtual training. We’ll do a free 5-minute tech check before your first session to ensure everything works smoothly. Most clients are surprised how simple it is.
Is virtual training as effective as in-person?
Our virtual clients see the same excellent results as studio clients. The key is consistency and proper programming, not the location. Many clients actually prefer virtual because they never miss sessions due to commute or weather.
What equipment do we recommend?
We recommend starting with resistance bands ($15-30) and light dumbbells (5-15 lbs). These versatile tools allow for a full-body workout and progressive training. Many clients start with just bands and add dumbbells as they progress.
How much space do we need?
A 6×6 foot area is ideal – about the size of a yoga mat plus arm’s reach on all sides. Many clients train in their living room, bedroom, or even hotel rooms when traveling.
What if the internet connection drops?
It happens! We’ll reconnect immediately and add extra time to make up for any disruption. We also provide backup phone support. In 17+ years of virtual training, we’ve always completed the session.
Can you really see form through a screen?
Yes! Your trainer will guide you on camera positioning to see your full body. We often catch form issues that clients didn’t even know they had. We can use multiple camera angles when needed for complex movements.
How is this different from YouTube workout videos?
This is live, personalized training designed specifically for you. Your trainer watches your form, adjusts intensity in real-time, and progresses your program based on your individual needs. YouTube can’t see if you’re compensating with your back or tell you to slow down when needed.
Do you provide workouts between sessions?
We can add cardio reminders and supplemental workouts through our branded app as needed to support your goals. These are customized based on your progress and help maintain momentum between live training sessions.
What time zones do you work with?
We train clients globally, from California to London to Singapore. Sessions are available Monday-Saturday, with early morning, daytime, and evening slots. We’ll find a consistent time that works for your schedule.
Can clients switch between virtual and in-person training?
Absolutely. Many Bay Area clients do virtual sessions when traveling or busy, then come to the studio when they can. Your program stays consistent regardless of format.
What if someone needs to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens! You can reschedule with 24 hours notice. For monthly members, we’ll find another time that same week. Same flexibility as in-person training.
