What happens in the first session?
Your first session starts with a conversation about your goals, health history, and any concerns. We'll do a movement assessment to understand your current fitness level and identify any limitations. Then we'll guide you through a customized workout that gives you a taste of what training will be like. You'll leave with a clear plan and excited about your fitness journey.
What areas do you serve?
We provide mobile in-home training across three major markets: the San Francisco Bay Area (including SF, Peninsula, and South Bay), Manhattan neighborhoods in New York City, and the Santa Barbara area. How much space do I need in my home?
We only need about 6x6 feet of clear space — roughly the size of a yoga mat with a little room around it. We've successfully trained clients in studio apartments, narrow hallways, and even on balconies. Our workouts are designed to adapt to your specific space, whether it's your living room, bedroom, or building's common area.
What about noise — will we disturb my neighbors?
We specialize in apartment-friendly workouts that are effective yet quiet. No jumping, no dropping weights, no loud music. We use controlled movements and cushioned equipment. Many clients train early morning or late evening without any neighbor complaints.
What equipment do you bring?
Your trainer brings everything needed for a complete workout — resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, mats, and any specialty equipment your program requires. You don't need to buy or store anything. We'll set up when we arrive and pack everything away when we're done.
Can we train outdoors or in my building's gym?
Absolutely! Many clients prefer using their building's amenities or outdoor spaces. We can train in your building's gym, rooftop deck, courtyard, nearby park, or any location that works for you. We're flexible and will work within your preferences and building's guidelines.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens — we get it. You can reschedule your session with 24 hours notice at no charge. This gives your trainer time to adjust their schedule and offer the slot to another client. We'll work with your changing schedule to keep you on track with your fitness goals.
How does scheduling work?
Sessions are available 7 days a week, typically from 6am to 9pm. After your initial consultation, you'll book recurring sessions at times that work with your schedule. Most clients train 2-3 times per week on consistent days, but we can accommodate varying schedules as needed.
Do you offer virtual training too?
Yes! In addition to in-home training, we offer virtual personal training for clients who travel frequently, prefer remote sessions, or live outside our service areas. Virtual sessions use video conferencing and are just as personalized as in-person training. Many clients mix both formats depending on their schedule.
