Here are my top 5 tips that help me work out in the morning!

1) Pay for your class in advance.

We are more likely to show up to a workout when we pay for it, so we don’t waste our hard-earned money! All of a sudden, that 6 a.m. HIIT class that we usually skip will guilt trip you into oblivion if you flake.

2) Place your alarm on the other side of the room. I wouldn’t ever make it to a workout if my phone was near my bed. I strategically place my phone at the longest distance from my bed so that by the time I go to shut it off, I’m awake! n

3) Leave the door in your workout clothes

Start getting ready for work at the gym! Determine that is your new place to shower and get dressed. Pack up everything you need the night before and put it in your gym bag. Changing your habits seems daunting at first, but once you’re in the groove, there’s no excuse not to work out.

4) Go to bed early

If you want to make fitness a habit and a lifestyle, focus your attention on going to bed as early as possible to make it much easier to wake up for your workout.

5) Put a photo of your goal body on your nightstand lamp

Wake up motivated! If you open your eyes in the morning and the first thing you see is your fitness goal, you’re up! Is sleeping an extra 20 minutes really better than wishing for your goal weight for another 10 years? Mornings are the best time to work out as you have a block of time where nobody is bothering you via every social media outlet and email. Make use of that time!
